Named after the ancient roman festival for fertility. I was inspired by its raw and primal ceremonies.
Starting with the base which I made perfectly flat to give it a grounded feeling, attuned to the earth.
Instead of keeping the ring perfectly round, I decided to bring the front of the ring to a vertical edge, which I think enhances its overall presence.
At the top of the band two asymmetrical points rise up creating an interesting negative space. These points could be interpreted as waves, mountains or fangs like those of the she-wolf Lupa.
