A simple and charming design this ring is the perfect companion. Its tail wraps around itself and its owner protecting them both from unsavory individuals. The Familiar is a stylish band that is both fashionable and comfortable for everyday wear.

In European folklore, familiars were believed to be supernatural entities that would assist witches and cunning folk in their practice of magic. These entities would usually manifest themselves in the form of an animal. The old Norse God, Odin, was often accompanied by two familiars - in the form of ravens (Huginn & Muninn).

Designer Notes

For this piece, I tried to create a face that could be interpreted as either feline or vulpine.

The face and the tail are designed in a way that they are both the main focus while emphasizing each other by flowing in the same direction. I think it also gives a cozy vibe, like it's resting comfortably around your finger.

The ring's wisping shape and single eye watching over its owner, inspired me to name it The Familiar. A spirit animal or entity assisting in the pursuit of magic.

Eric made a custom way for us to order for our matching wedding rings, despite this design usually only being listed individually. After twelve years, we figured it was time. They’re beautiful and well made, super unobtrusive and comfortable without being Dainty at the same time. I don’t feel like I’ll break mine, like I typically do with finer jewelry. I placed my order on the 2nd, and they arrived in the 16th, wild quick turnaround. It really did take this long for us to find some we actually like for this purpose.

I had some questions about sizing prior to buying and Eric was so helpful and quick to respond! He helped reassure me about the ring size I was contemplating and also worked with me to get it prior to NYE, which was when I was planning to gift the ring to my boyfriend.
