How to Measure Your Finger for Rings

Finding the right size is crucial to ensure your ring fits comfortably and looks stunning on your finger. Follow these simple steps to measure your finger accurately and refer to our Ring Size Chart.

1. Choose the Right Time: The size of your fingers can fluctuate throughout the day due to factors like temperature and physical activity. For the most accurate measurement, choose a time when your fingers are at their normal size. Typically, this is in the evening.

2. Find a Ring That Fits: Using an existing ring that you own is the easiest way to quickly find your ring size. Make sure it's a ring you wear on the same finger and is relatively round (not misshapen) and place it on a flat surface.

3. Measure the Inside Diameter: Using a ruler or a measuring tape, measure the inside diameter of the ring from one side to the other. Be sure to measure from the very center of the inside, avoiding the edges. This measurement should be in millimeters (mm).

4. Use Our Ring Sizing Chart: Compare the inside diameter measurement to our ring sizing chart here. The chart will show you corresponding ring sizes based on internal diameter and/or circumference. Keep in mind that different countries may have slightly different sizing standards, our ring sizes follow the standard US sizing.

5. Measure Your Finger Directly: If you don't have a ring to measure, you can measure your finger directly. Here's how:

a. Wrap a strip of paper or string around the base of the finger you want to measure.

b. Mark the point where the strip or string meets itself.

c. Measure the length of the strip or string with a ruler in millimeters.

d. Use a ring sizing chart (circumference) to determine your size based on the measured length.

6. Consider Ring Width: Keep in mind that wider bands may feel tighter than narrower ones. If you're choosing a wide band, you might want to choose a slightly larger size for comfort.

7. Repeat for Accuracy: For the most accurate measurement, repeat the process a few times at different points during the day. Consistency will help you find the best average measurement.

8. Professional Sizing: If you're unsure or in-between sizes, consider getting professionally sized at a local jewelry store. They have tools and expertise to provide an accurate measurement.

9. Be Mindful of Knuckles: If you have larger knuckles, measure both the base and knuckle and choose a size that accommodates both comfortably.

Remember, a well-fitted ring should slide over your knuckle with a bit of resistance but sit comfortably on the base of your finger.

Happy measuring and enjoy your perfectly fitted rings!
