Cleaning Your Jewelry
- General Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently polish your jewelry after each wear to remove oils, dirt, and residue.
- Mild Soap and Water: For most jewelry, mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water. Soak the piece for a few minutes, then gently scrub with a soft toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean cloth.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Never use bleach, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage metals and gemstones.
- Special Care for Delicate Pieces: For pearls, opals, or other delicate stones, wipe gently with a damp cloth and avoid soaking
Storing Your Jewelry
- Keep It Separate: Store each piece individually to prevent scratching, tangling, or damage. Use airtight bags to help avoid tarnishing.
- Avoid Moisture: Store jewelry in a cool, dry place. Humidity can cause tarnishing, especially for silver.
- Lay Flat or Hang: Lay necklaces and bracelets flat or hang them to prevent kinks and tangles. Chains can be stored with a piece of felt or tissue paper between them to avoid scratching.
- Protect from Light: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can fade certain gemstones, so store them in a dark place or a closed jewelry box.
Wearing Your Jewelry
- Put Jewelry On Last: Apply makeup, perfume, and hairspray before putting on your jewelry to avoid exposing it to chemicals.
- Remove During Activities: Take off jewelry before swimming, exercising, cleaning, or engaging in activities that could expose it to harsh chemicals, sweat, or physical impact. Our Jewelry pieces often contain sharp and/or pointed edges which may cause injury to yourself or others around you during physical activity.
